This growing after-school program needed a full-fledged classroom and administration space for its increasingly popular approach to inspiring children to learn about science. The lease available was the right size and location, but needed a complex negotiation of documentation and targeted upgrades to provide safe and equitable educational space for children, without taking funding away from the program itself. We coordinated an ad hoc team of volunteers, consultants, and administration to work closely with the building department toward successful occupancy.
